Greetings all,

Happy Friday!!! Go Golden State!!! I will be on vacation next
week and just wanted to touch base with you all.

We appreciate Cynthia coming to our last board of directors
meeting to update us on the Taxi Holding Lot issues as well as Single
Level Busing. Here is where we stand:

Taxi Holding Lot -

We are still waiting for the Lot to be enlarged... when
will that happen?

We still want to see all ingress and egress moved to
96th Street.

We still have taxi (& limo/uber) staging problems ...
mostly on Vicksburg and in private lots (hotels)

The Taxi staging on 98th Street is somewhat better
depending on the time of day and day of the week. However, it is still
a problem around the Taxi Zones.... Taxi Zones that might accommodate 4
vehicles generally have 6-8 stacked up. Problem areas include:
Vicksburg, 98th Street at Airport, Airport between 98th Street & 96th
Street, on Avion next to the Sheraton Gateway

Traffic on 98th Street is still a problem when there
is a Pink Code. The crosswalk at Avion is problematic when there is a
lot of pedestrian traffic. Last night, as I went through that area
there was a large group letting out from the Sheraton. It was a steady
stream of pedestrians crossing over to the parking lots. Traffic was
backed up (taxis and private) for about 5 minutes without vehicles being
able to get through. There needs to be a pedestrian signal installed.

The Food Truck is STILL a problem. On Wednesday at
approximate 5:00, I saw a Postal Vehicle parked in the westbound lane of
98th Street next to the taxi exit. The mailman was ordering something
from the food truck.

He was right in the path of taxis exiting the lot.... Please move
the truck to the 96th Street side. It encourages jaywalking and other
unnecessary traffic.

Single- Level Busing -

Following our board meeting, hoteliers were quite
concerned (understatement) about the new revelation that Single -Level
Busing would not be implemented before Summer for the hotel shuttles,
and that the hotel shuttle operators would need to negotiate a new trip
fee agreement with LAWA before they would be allowed to Single -Level
Bus. This had never been mentioned before. Not to mention that LAWA
wants to charge operators of shuttles MORE money per trip than Uber /
Lyft. That seems counterintuitive to solving your traffic problems in

the CTA .

THREE WEEKS - it took to get a meeting set up for the
hoteliers to meet with Steve Martin / Ryan Yakubik / Samson Menghistu.

They are meeting on June 22 - Summer is here and no Single
Level Busing

Please don't assume that because you don't hear from me that
problems with the Taxi Holding Lot have gone away.

I have been in the middle of moving our office. We are now
located closer to Airport Blvd. and the Taxi Holding Lot isn't right in
my face when I am going in and out of our parking structure.

Now, I avoid 98th Street and use Century Blvd. and Airport to
get around the area.

Lastly, I am mindful of not becoming such a squeaky wheel, that
you turn a deaf ear to us.... We value your outreach and partnership, and
share your commitment to making LAX a world-class, state-of-the art
experience for OUR customers.
